Atty. E. Delane Rosemond

Atty. E. Delane Rosemond, a native of Seneca, South Carolina, and a 1986 graduate of Seneca High School, is a practicing attorney in Seneca, South Carolina.

Mr. Rosemond attended the University of South Carolina and received his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice in 1990. In 1987, while at the University of South Carolina, he was initiated into the Zeta Epsilon of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc.

After graduation, he joined the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. During his first year of service, he received the prestigious “Rookie of the Year” award. As a deputy sheriff, Mr. Rosemond had a heart to do more for the community that he served. Consequently, he left the world of policing, just after five years, and in 1995 entered the University of South Carolina School of Law. In 1998, he received his Juris Doctor degree.

After passing the bar, he worked as an associate at the Law Offices of Johnson, Toal & Battiste, in Columbia, South Carolina. Attorney I.S. Levy Johnson, founding shareholder of the law firm and recognized as one of South Carolina’s top civil and criminal trial lawyers, mentored him. Subsequently, his law career began to flourish.

While operating a successful law practice in Columbia, South Carolina, Mr. Rosemond was presented with an opportunity to become the general counsel of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). An avid sports fan, He seized the chance to use his legal prowess to direct the legal and business affairs for the SWAC, home of ten (10) historically black colleges and universities, including Grambling University, Southern University, and Alabama A & M. Mr. Rosemond is a nationally recognized panelist in sports law and has participated in several forums, including the American Bar Association’s Entertainment and Sports Law Forum and the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association Conference.

In January 2002, He founded the Rosemond Law Firm based in Seneca, South Carolina.  As an accomplished attorney with diverse areas of practice, Mr. Rosemond has been invited to speak at the Southern University Law Center, the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and the University of South Carolina School of Law. In 2007, Mr. Rosemond was appointed by the Southeastern Province Polemarch (Regional President), Solomon S. Bradley, to serve as the Southeastern Province General Counsel. 

Mr. Rosemond is a member of the Greenville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Westminster, South Carolina, where he currently serves on the Trustee Board. He also formerly served as the Sunday School Superintendent.

Delane is married to the former Tonya Jones of Taylors, South Carolina, and they are the proud parents of one son, Edward Delane Rosemond, II.
